I have no problem running 6.1 on Ubuntu 9.04 under Wine but completely baffled by the complexities of inserting the correct code to enable it to automatically open Thunderbird ("Process" mail program)....and its so easy to configure in Windows!!
Have searched the net for instructions, found one reference only which did not work....ie to create a batch file and save in home directory and insert this, could not get the batch file to work. Problem lies no doubt, in how the batch file is configured, linux conventions for the relative beginner are very confusing! Easy enough to find the executable (/usr/lib/thunderbird) but how to make this into a working batch file?? Pasting into a text editor, re-naming as a .bat etc not successful.
