ScamChecker now has WhoIs lookups and maps

ScamChecker is a site I've been working on to help people recognise scam websites, at present specifically those that are trying to sell goods that don't exist or selling fakes.

A great tool that can be used in helping make up your mind is WhoIs, which queries an official database and gives you results about the owner of a domain name.   As the ScamChecker checklist needs people to look at this information to make an informed decision, it is great to be able to now offer WhoIs lookups on the website, using aspects of our SiteHound software.

The WhoIs lookups are returned first in a more simple format, giving you the basics.

And you can swap between this and the raw data by clicking on the Advanced tab as shown in the image.

Hopefully this is of use to some folk out there.  You can check it out here http://scamchecker.net/whois.html just enter the website name like scamchecker.net and press the [Check!] button.

Thanks
