Our company received similar email from someone named Amy Chen. I freaked out at first, and to protect our company's identity, we actually called these people to confirm this matter. All she said was, if you don't want people to steal the identity, I will send you a quotation so that you can reserve your domain and identity. Suprise, surprise! The price she sent us was triple of what we normally pay for all of our domains! Started to realise that this was a scam, I quickly register the suggested domain that involves our company name with the normal host. Guess what. after months of ignoring this company's threat, I received another one today:

Subject: [*SPAM*] Re: keep quiet all the time

Dear Miss/Sir

I am very sorry that you handle this matter with such attitude. I can't contact you for such a long time. I also don't know where is the key problem is.I just want to help you protect intellectual property right instead of you would do as what I said to you. You own the preferential right to register these domain names,but it does not mean it belongs to you. If you think they are not important for you, you can abandon and we will register for Universe Limited Company.Once Universe Limited Company apply successfully, the possess right of these domain names belongs to Universe Limited Company not yours. That means you will lose the market in these domains. It becomes the key point of why the global domain names becomes so important. For it affects whether a company brand can exist or not.If you think we are helping you, pls contact us asap for the dispute time is almost at its end. Pls tell us your decision so that we can handle the next step.
