No we don't hate women

Recently we received this email.

I noticed today while downloading the update (thanks very much) that all the satisfied customers whose comments are reported appear to be men. And I was put off by one man's praise of your product by saying it could even be used by his "technophobe girlfriend." Not all females are technophobes, not all men are savvy about technical questions.
I think you would do your marketing a service by taking a look at your website with a pair of gender glasses, to catch the misogyny and eliminate

Well actually Yvonne, you’re quite right, we never realised this before and it is entirely an oversight. We would like to make it very clear that us friendly folk at Firetrust don’t hate women. And if there are any chicks females that have something nice to say about our products and would like to write a testimonial, please feel free to email it through to our support team. Even if you just want to say something nice, the support team like getting those emails too :)

Speaking as a feminist, I'm not sure that even that one guy whose girlfriend is technophobic qualifies as a misogynist, nor should Firetrust be held responsible if your customers do happen to know computer-incapable women, nor is it your fault if your female customers have not sent any testimonials... I (a non-technophobe female) have recently put together a computer for my aunt (a technophobe female) and installing the Sitehound toolbar was one of my first few steps. I have done the same for technophobe males in the family. Anything that makes them safer while surfing puts my mind at ease. I will send something along those lines to your support team :)

I tried several other anti-spam programs before I discovered Mail Washer. Nothing compares for ease of use or accuracy. I never even look at other anti-spam programs now because this does the job.

Mailwasher was recommended

Mailwasher was recommended as an excellent anti spam program four years ago by the Claremont Senior Computer Club. Most members are 65 and older. Thanks for helping the elderly get acquainted with good programs.

I am a computer geek female. I build them, I program them, I fix them, I have run servers from Linux and other os, so I am definintely not a technophobe. Recently I moved to my new computer. I downloaded MailWasherPro and it does not run. I am using WinXP. It ran fine on my win2K system. It does not connect to my Outlook to 'wizard' anything either (as it doesn't recognize my account settings. My account settings were double checked with my other setup). Everything else on my computer works normally, including Outlook.

I have been using computers for years and to be honest with you i am still not great with understanding somethings with them. Infact i had to get my wife to help me with setting up the program. Now my wife knows about as must as computers as i do but we both have an understanding on different programs. All in All what i'm trying to say here is when it comes to software/computers we all can tend to get a brain fart and need help, no matter what our genre.

I am the family techogeek, the neighborhood technogeek, the go-to gal for my friends and I support several software products on a mainframe and distributed systems for my company and I have been a very happy and satisfied customer of Mailwasher from way back in the day before Nick Bolton became Firetrust. it seems to me i purchased mailwasher some years ago when i was a 2 on a navigating scale of 1-10. its finer points escaped me at that time so it was allowed to languish in the dust bin. i'm now prbly a 6 on the scale however, all memories of the transaction in those dark years of the past escape me. is it possible i'm a customer? mac in manhattan. can you forward an email because the possibility exists that i'll forget i sent this communique. ;)
