A third mail quality option: 'good' mail, 'bad' mail, 'caution' mail

Friday 12th of November 2010 3:09pm

I'd like to see the 'Good' + 'Bad' mail alternatives supplemented with a 'Take care' [Caution] mail option.

Most users of Mailwasher would have senders of mail which, every now and again, send worthwhile mail, but which for the most part, are of the spam variety. Typically, one finds this with the regular mail-outs by reputable software houses, book retailers, and so forth.

If I am looking at a Mailwasher display, I want to be readily able to visually identify those incoming emails that can not automatically be accorded a classification, but indeed, require my careful attention.

I should like to be able to right click the display line of incoming mail to classify future mail from that sender / source 'treat with caution', and the associated ability for the future display lines disclosing such 'take care' emails to automatically be coloured a cautionary 'mid-yellow'.

This would leave my 'good items' of mail 'green-coloured', the spam and other filtered-out items 'reddish coloured', and the line items that require closer inspection being clearly and conveniently distinguished. Where any sender has been classified as a 'take care' sender, each time there is new incoming mail from that source the Mailwasher user can quickly decide whether or not (on that particular occasion) to delete or accept those individual 'take care' items, depending on the perceived 'acceptable' or 'unacceptable' nature of that incoming mail.
