My choice of recycly bin contents (ie 30 days) should be remembered between application loads

Is it possible for the setting of the number of days that the recycle bin contents is displaye, is constant until reset to a different value? Each time I load my system and review the recycle bin contents it defaults to one day. I want it to default to the 30 day option that I have previously set. Is this possible?
