editing spamlists

Tuesday 14th of September 2010 12:57am

hi
in early versions of MW it was possible to export the blacklist (.txt) to Excel. the editing was fairly easy with find/replace. this XLS-list then could be exported again to the folder containing the blacklist.txt.

this was really helpful.

is it possible to reactivate this feature in MW Pro 2010?

The blacklist is now stored in the Sqlite database, you can export it from there and edit it as you like. While it is also possible to re-import it with sqlite commands I have found it far safer to convert the exported data to MW v6 format and use the MW 2010 from v6 import tool to suck it back into MW 2010.

Minor aggravation is that it is in regex format in the export, sed or a few find-replace commands in a lesser editor can deal with the formatting.

Easy to do in the new MW, it is stored in the sqlite database (db3) and you can extract it from there with little problem. More details are in the forums.
