Trigger outlook send and recieve automatically

Unsure if this is possible but it would be nice for MWP to trigger an automatic send and receive all in outlook when you process your mail and 'launch email application after processing' is checked

This is already possible. Instructions for Outlook 2007:
To enable Outlook to check mail immediately upon opening:
In Outlook menu click Tools > Options > Mail Setup Tab > checkmark the box labeled "Send/Receive immediately when connected".
Note, you also want to prevent Outlook from sending/receiving periodically while open, in other words, before having had a chance to review any new items in Mailwasher. To do that, click
Tools > Options > Mail Setup Tab > Send/Receive button > Uncheck "Schedule an automatic send/receive every __ minutes.

The problem with setting any e-mail program to auto-check is that it may well run a check when you don't want it to, say when it is opened by clicking on an e-mail link on a web page.

What works far better is a program called AutoIt that you can use to from MW to launch your chosen program and automatically press a button for you. http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml

Trying to build the same functions into MW would add a lot of maintenance overhead to support all the e-mail programs out there in the first place and then to keep up with any changes they have made. Much simpler to use AutoIt and if you are feeling helpful to post the script you create to the Mailwasher help forum for others to use.
