Mutiple Email Clients

Saturday 9th of May 2009 2:01pm

It's probably not very common, but I use several email clients: Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, and occasionally Eudora. (I use them to make sure my HTML newsletters look okay in various clients.)

It would be nice to be able to specify multiple clients to launch from MailWasher. The default would appear as the icon, with the usual arrow to drop down a selection list of others.

Rather than a single email client option, name of executable or URL on an account by account basis. Can't always get all my mail via a single method.

You could probably do this via an expansion of the filter process. That is, have a filter option on account selection. This would work well (straight-forward, easy?) if a user pops mail for a certain account to a particular email client. Now, if the user wants to pop mail to various clients based on other criteria, then I suspect the coding to do this would be far more complicated. I would be happy with the "this account always goes to that client" method. Then, I could have MWP process all my mail. Huzzah! Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

I use 2 clients - 1 for "my" email, another for business emails - so - it would be nice to be able to select the individual clients from the main screen. Also, it would be GREAT!!! if we could specify the email client per account - so after filtering the email, the client(s) that have mail associated with them would be launched.
