Banned country domains

Thursday 12th of November 2009 5:16am

MW needs a top-level blacklist that would allow the user to choose which countries he wants to receive email from.

There would be an alphabetical list of countries next to its assigned country domain, such as .po, .jp, .ru. The user would simply select those country domains and MW would then flag emails with suspect country domains.

I created a list of domains that do that and it is working well, the other option is to do it as a filter which also adds the ability to group these messages in the mail grid.

I prefer banned based on language (not by country)

I had built a rule to do this, but it would be nice to have it built in and updated as new TLDs come online.

However, in my case, it would rather see a white list of TLDs. That way spammers can't run to the new TLDs hoping to evade the filters.
